Define "big." Wragge has been big for the Jays, beat Marquette out for him. Also Hegner, right? Or are you talking highly touted top-100 type players?

More the top-100 route or an instance where Marquette had to settle on someone lower-rated instead. In the case of Hegner, although he was a very good recruit, Marquette ended up landing the No. 2 rated JUCO in the country in Jameel McKay at the PF instead. John Dawson wasn't a can't-miss prospect by any means, but he's another. It's too early to tell about the 2015 class, but Nick Noskowiak is rated roughly 50 for that class as well.

That being said, I definitely think it'll start leveling out with Creighton's move to the Big East. No longer can MU use the BE card to separate themselves against the Jays. Although the on-court success will still be an advantage to Marquette IMO.

MVC schools as a whole get a Top 100 recruit about once every third or fourth year so the answer is pretty obvious.

The world has changed and 2015 onward it will be felt the most. That we are in on as many highly rated 2014's is a testament to the coaching staff as we started this recruiting season as an MVC school.

I don't think it is a fair question considering that Marquette was in the Big East while Creighton was in the MVC....

He was a Marquette lean the whole time, didn't expect to get him. Hopefully Marquette is getting full of scholarships cause we seem to be going head to head against them for alot of recruits.

Was just granted a release from his Marquette NLI.

Not that there's not a good time, but it'd be a REALLY good time to get on a nice NCAA roll and possibly get a shot here.

Were we recruiting him before and do we have any chance?
