The only kid who dissed on Creighton was Agau and that was due to some idiot Creighton fan getting into it with him on the Internet. Kids have loved Creighton but gone elsewhere because of the MVC. I fully expect our classes to be littered with Top 150 kids.

Sorry for the diss but WTF?! Stop thinking like an MVC fan.

What do kids want today:

- Play in front of large crowds,,,check
- Play in great facilities,,,check
- Play a fun style of ball,,,check
- Play on national TV pretty much every game,,,check
- Play for a winner, Top 25 level program,,,check
- Play for a school that sends kids to the League,,,check
- Play for a likable coaching staff with great team chemistry,,,check

Creighton is a very desirable destination folks. Every team in the Big East lands Top 100-150 kids. Get used to it.

Great post. I see no reason to believe we can't wind up with multiples in the 51-150 ranked kids, and even some higher than that. We have a crapload of positives going for us. About the only thing that can be construed as a negative is location vis-a-vis some of the warmer locales, but if you ask me we have it all over places like Lawrence and Bloomington, and they seem to do just fine there.

Give us a couple years to scrape the vestiges of the MVC and mid-major-itis out of people's minds and it'll be like our years of being restrained by our conference never happened. Until then it might be a little bumpy, but hey, this isn't a cakewalk.

It's hard to make this assertion with 100% certainty, simply because a realignment move similar to Creighton's hasn't occurred in recent memory. We all understand that Creighton has the makings of a potential big time program, but that's because we're part of the fan base. We can't know what kids, or their parents are thinking of us when they make decisions in the recruiting process.

yeah - it totally sucks to agree with someone who knows what he's talking about and thinks that things are looking up on the hilltop.

I never said he is one of those kids. I'm saying there are kids like that, and you truly never know what they are thinking.

I totally agree with every point LJay made. We will get big time recruits, and we do have the facilities, fan base, and team to do it. All I was saying is there are kids out there who disregard a school because of it's name, even if it has just changed to a power conference. I'm sure Leon isn't one of those kids who doesn't take us seriously, but there are some.

In answer to your question, cujaysfan took a shot at me immediately preceding my snarky response and my reference to LJay was in response to an earlier shot. I have no problem with people disagreeing and certainly not disagreeing with my opinion. What I do have a problem with is some people apparently believe that anyone with the temerity to disagree with them should be pilloried.
