Agreed. This whole "Omaha's Team" thing puts me off. Even with all their advertising et al they get 800 for games. Trev Albert's total sell out of the athletic program with adoption of the "Buy Games to fund the entire athletic department" as he bows toward Lincoln is irksome.

UNO's entire athletic department plan at this point appears to be copy Creighton. Try to build successful basketball, baseball and soccer programs, but dismantle successful wrestling and football programs because they compete with Lincoln. Screw Trev.

On a related note, isn't UMKC planning to leave the Summit soon?

Yeah, UMKC is going to the WAC I believe. Not sure what year they are moving.

UMKC is joining the WAC this upcoming season at the same time Creighton moves to the Big East.

Who wins an NCAA tournament game first, UNO or UNL? UNO is starting behind but appears to have the inside track.

I'd bet on UNO in baseball, probably basketball too.

If you are going out to Anaheim to watch the Jays and you go to the Anaheim Convention Center the first couple days of the tournament, you will likely miss the games. The first two rounds will be hosted at Cal-State Fullerton, one of the teams in the tournament. Oh and it is now called the "Wooden Legacy." Talk about a tournament with an identity crisis--Originally it was the 76 Classic, went to just Anaheim Classic and last season it was the DirecTV Classic.

That's a little strange. Can't imagine a CSUF home game is normally very intimidating, but still hope we don't get matched up with them. Who's planning on going to this thing?

I will be there with the rest of my family. Should be a good way to kick the season off.
