Yes I was there. What does that change about the classnessless that that guy showed?

Is someone being a little bitter toward an ex-boss?

Nice try. If that were the case then I would just provide everyone with his name which I am clearly not going to do.

Sounds like there will be a closed door scrimmage with Iowa State next season.

I still find these closed door scrimmages, and the draconian NCAA rules about reporting what happens in them, to be the theater of the absurd -- but at least CU will play a quality opponent.

Maybe this will open the door to a series with Iowa State in the future -- I don't think there are any players left on the roster that Mac recruited/coached (though I could very well be wrong about that). If they're looking to keep a game with an Iowa school for recruiting purposes, I'd much rather see a series with the Clones than with Northern Iowa, per that rumor earlier in the week.

Only if its at a place that has review capabilities.

Didn't that problem have as much to do with lack of TV coverage as it did the venue?

Yeah, I really hope that Northern Iowa rumor was a complete fabrication, that would be a fail on Coach Mac if he signed up for that.

The greatest part about leaving the Valley was to never play Northern Iowa a.k.a. the anti-basketball school. Their style of play makes watching a game against them very brutal. I'd rather play any other Valley school than them. They crap the bed against every other team, draw 2,000 fans to home games BUT when they play us it was always their World Cup Final and that place was packed and they were amped.

Ah yes, the good ole days in the MVC. Where we were everyone's favorite team to hate...where home games vs the Jays were possibly their only packed house (with exceptions to bradley and wsu).

We need to hurry up and renew some old rivalries in the new BE: Marquette, DePaul, Xavier...create some new ones: Providence, G'twn. I miss the Panthers already, as they could be 9-9, 15-7, whatever, but would always be "up" for the game with the Jays. However, i will miss my Saluki-dawgs the most. It is a shame they had fallen on hardtimes these last 4-5 years.
