Wow, huge loss for Alabama. Lacey has 1st Round talent/potential. He just needs to get in the right situation and fine tune his game. Think there is any way we try to get involved there?

- Rutger leading scorer Eli Carter. Was highly recruited by Jays staff a few years ago. Played at Brewster Academy, Mac has good ties to that program.

- Arkansas big man Hunter Mickelson. Mickelson averaged 5.5ppg and 3.5rpg for Hogs. 6'10'' big man can run and stretch floor.

Both were sophomores and would sit a season before suiting back up anywhere.

Mickelson to Kansas.

OT but interesting, former Shocker Jake White is leaving WSU and transferring to UNO for his last two years after his transfer year redshirt.

Sounds like Joe Coleman is transferring from Minnesota according to their message board. If I remember correctly, we came pretty close to getting him out of HS. I wonder if there is still interest.

Hmmm, as I recall this was another one lost to BcS'itis. Perhaps we are now worthy!

When it was first announced that Tubby was leaving, I joked in one of the threads around here about how great it would be if Joe Coleman were to transfer.

I've watched Minny a lot the last two years and Coleman is exactly what we've lacked. He's quick and athletic, can score offf the bounce and could be a solid fit. If Tubby doesn't get canned, there is no way that Coleman leaves.

I've been thinking we are done with changes for next year, but if Coleman becomes available, I'd hope we check to see if he has any interest. He'd have 2 years to play after sitting out a season. The kid is from Minneapolis, so we would still be a pretty close to home option for him...and yes, he can play in the Big East.

Looking back at old stories his final three were Minny, Iowa St. and Santa Clara.

Looks like we are interested in Joe Coleman along with a bunch of other high majors.

We damn well should be!

Coleman is the type of kid worthy of having Mac pay Doug's tuition. He's not some reach who may be able to compete at the power conference level; he's proven that he can play and score at that level (he averaged about 9 a game, and even hung 29 against Illinois on the road). He has NCAA tourney experience and had a really good game against UCLA in the NCAA tourney.

Hopefully Coleman wants to stay reasonably close to home and likes what we have to offer. Of all of the potential transfers we have heard about, Coleman is the best IMO and the one I want the most. Hopefully we have a shot.
