What a complete player, has post moves, can dribble drive and shoot the 3. Once he gets stronger and puts on a little weight, he will be a matchup nightmare at the 4. It would be a luxury to redshirt him next year. With Doug and Wragge at the 4, he probably won't get much playing time. The negative would be that once Doug and Wragge graduate, the PF position will be his to lose and it would be nice if he had some playing experience before that happens.

That's probably the most impressive highlight video I've ever seen of one of our incoming freshmen. Holy cow. I guess I didn't realize he had that range. Anyone know what his three-point average was this year? And the multitude of ways he scores in the post in that video -- wow.

the 2013 class just looks better and better and Hegner may end up being the star of the class when all is said and done. You can't replace a guy like Doug in an offense, but as much as is possible, Hegner makes me think we will keep running a similar offense with our 4 both posting and stretching teams on the offensive end.

Wow! Gained about 40 lbs since last summer! That is very impressive. That puts him about as big as Will now. This shows this kid has a lot of determination and strong work ethic. Can't wait to see him play!

Yeah he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and a great attitude. I follow his mom on twitter too and it seems like a great family all together. Excited to see him get going here.
