Just saw that we apparently offered Malik "Shake" Milton, a shooting guard from OK. Has offers apparently from Oklahoma and Tulsa.

Owasso!! Home of Karlas "Blazer" Gripado!!! (He hit a half court shot once during the period that CU gave away a Chevy Blazer for a made half court shot, thus, the nickname.).

Went to a game against Iowa State at Hilton. Benoit Benjamin was amazing that day with about 25 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocks or some such nonsense. The Iowa State fans lined up a hundred deep after the game to get Willis Reed's autograph.

Blazer was a hothead (also leading to a second nickname, "Scrapiron") who played physical. He fouled out in about eight minutes of PT. The Hitlon fans HATED him and booed him mercilessly the entire time he played.

Thinking back now Iowa State had Hornacek then. To this day the greatest true walkon that I can recall.

Road games can be truly memorable.

I could have sworn that Gripado was on scholarship, but I could be wrong. He sure played like a walk on though.

Sorry for confusion. Gripado was on scholie. I was referring to Hornacek of ISU. A true walkon who ended up in the NBA.

Just named Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists a game. Also holds a 3.94 GPA. Won't plan any official visits till the fall.
