After attending the ISU game last night, I'm convinced the only way for this team to continue to improve is for our staff to grab more athletic guys, because it seems like a lot of our offensive firepower comes from very "skilled" players (Gibbs, McDermott, Wragge etc). Chatman and Manigat show flashes of athleticism but neither feel comfortable penetrating and driving to the basket. Where the lack of athleticism really hurts is on defense; our guys getting beat off the dribble left and right by more athletic wings.

Lee would give us a dribble-drive type player with a huge size advantage for his position. Big opportunity. Having averaged 25 ppg in juco means he's now used to the limelight and a leader as well.

Picked up an offer from Auburn

Youse guys.

So which is it? Do we want an "athletic" wing or do we want another PG?
We have Avery and Nevin, with Darian Harris coming in as part of the 3 or 4-H class.
We have AC and AY2, with Z potentially playing backup at the PG, and with Norton coming in 2014.
I have every confidence that our current players have improved and will continue to improve, providing the sort of
hustle and play most of you think we need.

IMO we should be looking at 4 year guys, not fill-a-gap Jucos. And if a certain PG, the 4th H, reopens his recruitment, we should go "All In" to get him on the Hilltop.

Patience Jay fans, patience.

The long and short of the situation is this: we are losing our two/three most important players after this season, one of them possibly being the player who averages 24 ppg. We need a guy like Lee, in my opinion, to fill that point machine "void" left by McDermott. Plus, the reason our offense runs so well without uber-athleticism is because of Gibbs; he's the gear that makes everything in our offense go. We need a guy that's used to scoring in chunks and taking games into his own hands. Nevin has the athleticism to do it, but he doesn't have the experience like Lee does, and I don't know if he'll evolve his game to be an elite scorer like Lee. Again, maybe the guy will be Harris or Talbert, or even Zierden, but those are big if's. We need a dribble drive athlete.

Problem with Lee is everyone in America likes him. I think a nice run in the tournament will help Creighton's chances, but he will be coveted by many more suitors. Some might even have a tiger or lion?!?!

Also Talbert is a 2014 so he won't be in the mix until two years from now.

Truth. It would definitely be an upset. At this point, it's either Jorgenson or Lee then? With only one spot left, it'll probably go to the kid that commits first. I don't see the staff turning down a commit from Jorgenson to take a gamble with Lee. Besides, from what we fans know, they played that game between Shirmane Thomas and Marcus Foster and lost.

they are both good players who fill a need. And they are both the kind of players who are different makers against top level talent.

After seeing that story I think he's a real long shot for us. I hope I'm wrong, and the longer Travis takes to commit I think our chances go done on him too. I
