You have to figure with this being the last Kalk year and likely the only Fedor year that he’s going pedal to the medal when it comes to results, right?
My prediction is this: Zugic gets the green light and there are going to be some surprising DNPs coming up. And not just Knox and Thomas either, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Miller out there in garbage time only, or when we need a 3 late. Davis and Green fit into this unsteady slot too, and Traudt taking all of King’s minutes is absolutely on the table as well.
I say DNP, but to me a random 90 second appearance is about the same thing.
The PT will be going to those who bring the most to the table at that point in time.
I don't disagree about Miller. That is why I think a medical redshirt is on the table. The leg can't be 100% yet and he already picked up another injury. It is hard to see any of the 4s slotting down to the 3 with both Fedor and Neal available. In big games, you'd expect Ash, Pop, Fedor and Neal to absorb almost all of the minutes at 1-3. The 4 spot is the most interesting. Jackson has the quicker release and is a much better defensive rebounder than Traudt. Is Green able to play without being a liability on offense? Do you play Traudt, Jackson or Green together at the 4 & 5 to spell Kalk in certain situations instead of subbing in King? It will be an interesting year.
