Kendra is one of 14 semifinalists for AVCA NPOY. Finalists will be announced before the final 4 and can include players that weren't on the semifinalist list.

Ava had 11 kills (.429), 13 digs, and 8 aces in the sweep tonight. Ava has been on a tear in Big East play and I think she might just be the frontrunner for BE POY.

Jays rolled with the senior day lineup with Milner, Maser, Ziegler playing throughout the match today. Milner ended up with a career high of 5 kills. It was fun that they got to celebrate another Big East championship on senior day too. They'll clinch it outright with a win next week.

Creighton announced after the match that Kiara would be returning for her 6th year.

Can't say enough about KBB for starting and playing senior walk-ons for the entire match. How much more special for the three seniors. rather than just get subbed in at the end. In 20 years, Maser, Ziegler and Milner can tell their kids how they won the Big East regular season title at Sokol on senior night.

Also can't say enough about Kiara coming back. It won't be nearly as big a rebuild with her returning.

Also says something about the strength of the program that they rolled -14, -11, -11 while doing so.

Getting Kiara back is huge. Destiny NS is a nice replacement for Sis. But the big question is who takes over at setter. Is it Clark or Strain? I would imagine we will look at the portal pretty hard. I am guessing Sydney B returns to the libero role next year.

They hit a school record .548 even.

Creighton's non-conference opponents got some nice wins this week. USC just reverse swept RPI #15 Oregon (bit of a meltdown from Oregon - after reaching 10, they had 4 straight SEs including a foot fault and then a net violation), Purdue swept top 30 Illinois, Kansas and Kansas St combined for a 3-1 v TCU and Baylor.

On the flip side, Rice had a bad loss today and Mizzou came out flat in the fifth in a loss to Florida on Friday. DePaul had 2 injuries this week and lost to Providence yesterday too.

KBB chats a bit about Creighton's resume and how she is trying to prepare the team for the tournament while also navigating Big East play.

Some significant upcoming matches for Jays hosting chances - hopefully Nebraska and Louisville can take care of business
11/21 Purdue @ Penn State - PSU swept Purdue in Holloway, Purdue returning the favor would help mitigate PSU's edge in common opponents.
11/23 Wisconsin @ Nebraska
11/29 Nebraska @ Penn State
11/30 Louisville @ Stanford

It’s definitely a 3-way race for that 4th 1-seed. I think we need to win all 4 matches to have a shot, but not bad that we can drop one and still our floor is a 2-seed in that scenario.
Penn St:
Purdue
Washington
Nebraska (all at home)

Stanford:
at UNC
at Georgia Tech
Louisville

If either team wins out, they’ll most likely get that last one seed. 1 loss and it’s 50/50 btw that team and Creighton. 2 losses and it would be a travesty if that team was picked over the Jays. I’d say most likely scenario would be both get exactly 1 loss and Jays have 33% chance (given we win out).

Also possible that Louisville slips if they lose 2 or 3, but hard to root against them as they’re a good loss for us.
