For conversation sake, what has led to your conclusion that Fedor isn’t the second coming? I’m assuming you have seen a fair amount of his Euro games and/or CU practices (practice tape) to make said statement. With that being said, I was hoping that you could give us a better break down of his game since there isn’t a lot to read about him other than pretty much what has been posted or linked on this board. Full disclosure, I know nothing/heard nothing so I guess I can’t opine as to the impact he may or may not have if eligible. Looking forward to your breakdown.

Lots of doom and gloom after a historic scoring performance. Luckily we have these first four games (and 5 if you count Nebraska) to figure things out. My only real concern is guard depth. Defense won’t be as strong this year without Baylor and Trey, but not worried about the offense given these early results.

We don’t need Fedor to be the second coming. We need another 10-12 ppg scorer. From talking to people who have seen practices, he’s the real deal. If you have Neal and Fedor going for 10 a night alongside Kalk, Pop, and Ash you are going to outscore most teams.

we just scored 93 in an exhibition and 99 in first win. Mac is right that our season is dependent on the defensive end.

Fedor better be able to bring something on the defensive and rebounding side or he doesn't bring what we really need to get where we want to - despite what he might be as a shooter.

Thomas was on the floor in the first half Wed - and that wasn't because he can score or shoot.

and this doesn't mean I don't want to get him eligible and on the floor - I'm excited to see him ASAP. Just no one is talking about him in terms of what our actual issues are.

I would love to hear more about Thomas (and Knox for that matter) from anyone that is knowledgeable about him or sees him in practice. As a redshirt freshman, I’m sure there must be a lot of potential upside.

Good athlete (see the dunks), plays hard on defense, can't really shoot is the cliff notes on Thomas.

I broke down Kalkbrenner's 49-point game by play type in a Twitter thread you can find here:

I asked Mac about Shane and Sterling after the FDU game.

Thanks, Jacob! It sounds like Shane might see the floor on occasion when defense is needed.

Also, Mac mentions 3 guys at the 4. Does that mean Coach is thinking of Mason as a 3 mostly? Mason is starting to come on. He looked much more involved and had a great +\-

It will get even more complicated if/when Fedor gets the green light

Vaqueros up on Wisconsin by 7 late in the first half. Pesky bunch.
