One of the national podcasts said something along the lines of the NCAA process is normally cut and dry, but the number of waivers the last few years has risen significantly and the NCAA processes them in the order received.
This is for all sports, there’s not a “oh big basketball brand” and “other sport” folder, they all go into one system and the NCAA goes through each and every waiver request. The good news is that the whole how many games did he play/will he be eligible isn’t so much in question. He almost certainly will be ruled eligible. The issue is where exactly does Fedor fall in that pile of requests and is the NCAA still understaffed compared to last year?
For context, Big Z signed with Kentucky on August 14th and was ruled eligible on January 20th. Fedor signed with Creighton on August 23rd. Does that mean his first game will be after January 20th? Not necessarily, but don’t hold your breath that we’re going to see any news on his situation during the non con.

I think any of the U18 or U19 stuff is separate from playing for the main club (I didn't count any of those games for Fedor pr his total would be much higher too). I counted 169 games there across 6 games. Ivisic is definitely more of a direct comparison for Fedor than guys like Demin and Jakucionis.
