USC had 5 set points to force a 5th set against Penn State and couldn't finish it. Penn State continues to close out a lot of tight sets/matches.

It hasn't been as good of a week for Creighton's non conference opponents in general, but USC going 0-2 (also reverse swept by Michigan State who was winless in Big Ten after having 2 match points in the 3rd set) feels the most disappointing even if the Penn State loss was expected.

Down to 6 in RPI. The Big East effect has really taken hold with matches this weekend against two doormats. I saw that we outscored them by 69 points combined, an average score per set of about 25-14. It would be so nice if this conference took volleyball seriously.

Have to hope we don't fall into the 7-10 spot in seeding. Oh, and Wisconsin is coming on now.

Yup, bad week overall for chances at a 1 seed. Big ten opponents continue letting Penn St off the hook. And they only have 4 road matches left - 1 at Wisconsin and3 at B10 basement dwellers. UCLA and USC really let golden opportunities slip away. Purdue losing also hurt.

Eh, at this point just hoping for a 2-seed and preferably in Nebraska’s bracket.

I just want Creighton to be the 5 or or 6 since I don't think they have a real shot at a regional anymore. I don't see as much of a path for Texas or SMU to move ahead anymore after Louisville beat SMU today.

The primary teams I'm rooting against now are Wisconsin and Stanford although I don't think there is much chance of Stanford dropping behind with wins over Wisconsin, Texas, and SMU.

Miami just beat Stanford!! Miami has been a bit chaotic. They beat Texas as well but also lost to Wright State

And Mizzou just beat Texas!! That should solidify them into the RPI top 25.

Great night! I'd say we're pretty much assured of being seeded ahead of Texas now. Wisconsin is going to have a tough time climbing past us too.

Up to 4 on RPI. Missouri is now top 25, so our sweep looks even better.

Oh, yeah, also should be ranked 5th on Monday if we beat Nova.

Booom. Great night for Jays seeding chances. That Mizzou win looking real good and need to keep Marquette unblemished except vs us 6-7 Top 25 wins at the end of the season.

Penn St needs to go down stat. They lost a set to #155 Iowa at home and have escaped many times. Nebby hopefully beats them to end the year and a Wisconsin sweep would be very sweet next weekend.

Thanks to Nebraska and Mizzou’s big road wins we’re up to 5 in RPI really close to PSU and with a little buffer over Stanford.

Blocking and defense helped Creighton Volleyball to their 20th victory of the season in a win on Friday night against St. John's.
