Both McAndrews and LJ are high ceiling,

LJ on the other hand already looks like a (young) NBA guard. I think his raw athletic ability is comparable to the best athletes in the league, based on how high he jumps and how quickly he gets downhill to the rim. I get the Foster comparisons, but LJ seems to be on another level. His acceleration and explosive ability is just not something we have seen at Creighton (ever?).”

Well. @Larrygetsbuckets has the potential and athleticism to possibly be compared , in time, to the great Rodney Buford (1995-99).

One has to return to the start…DA’s 1st 4 years.
Return to the days of “Rodzilla in Omaha”.

Rodzilla, the guy who restored the program back to relevance (and saved Dana’s job). Led the Jays back to the postseason-NIT/1998, NCAA/1999, for the 1st time in years (1991). To be fair - the arrival of Walker & Sears (1997-98) brought in much needed support players to build & round out the team. Buford was a freak athlete and a pretty good basketball player (once he committed to playing defense). 2nd Round NBA selection/to Miami Heat.

CU’s record-holding leading scorer for 13 years (1999-2012). Buford surpassed Bob Harstad by the slimmest of margins.

Many of you are unaware- 2000-2024 fans.

Outside of Marcus Z, Buford is still my favorite CU player of all time. Who could forget that dunk against Maryland in the tourney.
