Pretty sure I saw Mason going full steam during practice the other day. WOWT here locally covered the Jays media day. Looked like Jasen was scrimmaging as well so who knows I guess.

82 points against ISU seems pretty good and 31 points off the bench also seems promising

Hard to tell how these are set up. I’ve seen regular periods with refs but coaches able to stop play for coaching and an added special situations half before. However, if this was a straightforward scrimmage with 20 minute halves, clock and refs, scoring 82 against Iowa State is damned good. Giving up 83 to a team not known for offense would then be concerning on that side of the coin.

Kenpom thinks they have a top 20 offense

Of course, it’s hard to take preseason numbers too seriously

I believe Iowa State was also without St. Mary's transfer forward Joshua Jefferson (10.2 PPG and 6.5 RPG last year) and one other, so neither team was at full strength. Even so, I'm sure both sides got a lot out of it.

I can never be happy losing to Iowa State by 1 point even if they were the number 1 team in the nation.
