Went to the athletics website to check on my tickets after I got the receipt email--nowhere to be found. I called the athletics department and was told the tickets won't show up online until next week.
So long Valley, hello big time.

Looked at buying two tickets to the Purdue game. The tickets are $26 and the junk fees are $28.50. Unfreakingbelievable.

It's a fundraiser for tornado victims, people who may have lost their homes and maybe everything they own. So, does ticketmaster trim their fees, maybe waive them altogether? They do not. It's not like the disaster affected them. Where there's a dollar to be made, they're gonna make it, dammit.

When somebody who works for those guys goes off the clock and maybe goes to a party or a family get together, and someone they just met says to them, "hey, what do you do?', they make something up, right? They're gonna say, "I'm a technical advisor for porn movies", or "I tow cars for a repo company", or maybe, "I figure all the property tax assessments for the county", but they'd never admit to working for ticketmaster, would they?

Whenever I need extras for a Creighton game, any sport, I try to get 'em directly from the Ryan Center ticket office or CHI. It can be a little bit of a pain in the ass, but--and maybe everybody already knows this, in which case, apologies---you avoid almost all those add-on fees. I'll drive a few extra miles to a ticket window if it means giving a middle finger to ticketmaster. The irony is, the tickets generally end up being managed and issued by t'master anyway, but fee-free. Nearly everybody who stages an event has sold their souls to ticketmaster.

The game will be broadcast statewide on NET, with Larry Punteney and Nick Bahe on the call.

Outside of Nebraska, a webcast of the NET telecast will be available for $10 through GoCreighton.com.

Good for fans. Bad for ticket sales.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised they're opting to televise it, to be honest. The UNO charity exhibition in '17 was not televised or webcast in an effort to sell as many tickets as possible, and it still only drew 8,200. You'd think Purdue would be a bigger draw than UNO, but three weeks out you'd be wrong -- looking at Ticketmaster this morning, I'm guessing they've sold about 8-9k so far. Lots of tix available in just about every single section, both upper and lower bowls.

I had heard over 10,000 tickets were sold as of two weeks ago...
