Any word on the closed door scrimmage this year? Is it Iowa State again? Timing?

Been following this extremely closely, and the lack of details are a bit concerning. I would like to try to make it out to Vegas for the Tuesday and Wednesday games and get back for Thanksgiving, but nothing on tip-off times yet etc.

Also curious on ticket prices. I remember the Jack Jones tourney trying to sell tickets for $200 on the day of game two years ago in an empty arena.

Anyone hear anything from the school? I would doubt it as I bet they are a bit in the dark too.

New Year’s Eve with a danger of Pitino jumping in the icy river?

Odds of an 11 am tip vs a night game? Place your bets now.

Ah. The World-Herald.

The Big 10 schedule was released today. So, naturally, the WH turned its nebby beat reporter, Wilson Moore, loose on the schedule. His mission was to put the schedule under a microscope and give it the hard-eyed analysis you'd expect from a veteran beat reporter (even though he was an intern in Indiana two years ago and he looks like he's maybe 14).

So, here was the lead-in to his first of three takes on their B10 sked (I didn't read the other two): "nebraska won't have faced a power conference team when it travels to East Lansing to face Michigan State" in their conference opener. The implication, of course, is that Sparty will be a real step up in competition, a bear of a challenge, after all those cupcakes nebby will be feasting on in November and early December.

nebraska plays Mich St on December 7. They play Creighton on November 22 which, my research tells me, is before Dec 7. I'm picturing the editor in Snacks Mckeown's sports department taking a quick look at that and thinking "yeah, that looks right".

I guess Creighton and the Big East still have a lot to prove to Wilson Moore and the World Herald. Don't ever change, WH.

Well in all fairness, they are supposed to be a little better this year, so we may end up winning by only 20 this year. The dumb ass writer also forgets the game before, against St. Mary’s, which they will also likely lose.

It's not just a dig on Creighton. He is trying say the Big East is not a power conference. NU could lose 5 pre-conference games, it doesn't matter to his spin. He is going after BE teams even if it counts as one of the 'few' quality wins that could help their resume'. Look for more of the same from the OWH & newspapers in all BIG10 cities. The best way to keep the BE out of future NIL/paying players as employees and sharing the future mega money deals, is to ' actively push' the BE to the 2nd tier of college sports because tier 1 is for Power Conferences only. Conspiracy theory, maybe

They just changed it online. It now reads "nebraska will have only faced one power conference team...". Somebody must have re-read the copy and thought, "Oh, crap. That's just wrong. nebraska plays Bethune-Cookman first. We better fix it. Stat". Wonder how it'll read when they roll out the actual paper tomorrow. Maybe they'll just kill the story altogether to leave space for a hard-hitting, no holds barred discussion of whether the depth situation at safety will allow nebby to play the Tampa Two.
