Seems a bit surprising with Eric Dixon back at VU. Dixon might well be first team preseason all BE.

One of the few things on my Christmas list is for Kalk to figure out how to dominate that guy when they face off this year.

In that case, I hope we don’t play Nova before Christmas.

It seems like the rules for when practice can begin has changed from the old rule which revolved around 10/15. It seems that the new rules are that you can start 42 days before your first regular season game. Since our first regular season game (not the Purdue exhibition) is 11/6, it seems like practice should start around 9/25.

Is that right?

At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Karaban, Dickinson and Sears named first team.

Dickinson is back? Isn't he 52?

I guess other fans probably feel the same way about Kalkbrenner.

What a weird period the Covid era has been.

Kalkbrenner has been better than Dickinson for 3 years now but Kansas and offense is sexier to the media than Creighton and defense

The Athletic/NYT picking us 4th in BE

Pop Isaacs and Jamiya not considered as top 100 transfers. LJ not considered top 100 HS recruit.

Fedor gets no mention .

They have MU second and XU third with SJU 5th. I’m pretty sure you can guess who they picked as number one.

I swear, I am surprised that they even remember that we are part of the league. Outside of the past few years with Uconn, the Jays and Nova are the top teams in the Big East by a wide margin the last 10 seasons. People on the east coast tend to forget about that.

Pop is certainly top 100 transfer, but Jamiya is certainly not top 100. Pop likely to start, Jamiya to come in off the bench for significant minutes 15-20 for defensive intensity. Living in Arizona, I have seen a lot of ASU games, and Jamiya’s play is not deserving of starter role on a team like CU. Good player off bench, just not the second coming of Damien Jefferson.
