Kendra is the first ever Big East setter of the week. Jaya took home conference freshman of the week. This article says Jaya is the first ever bluejay with at least 11 kills and a hitting percentage of more than .500 in her debut.

Nebraska is down 0-2 and Louisville got swept earlier tonight by Penn State. Before tonight, I thought both teams would be in the top 3 when Creighton played them.

Swept. By the fifth-best team in texas, if the rankings are right. Filleted and smoked, like a trout. Even Harper Murray couldn't steal this one, and she's really good at that. And, when the chips were down, in the third set, nebbie was their least competitive. They just meekly slinked away. Damn polite of them.

Damn satisfying, but confusing. Here I thought nebraska volleyball was the team the '96 Bulls, the '85 Bears and the '27 Yankees would always want to be, if only they'd been good enough.

I'm guessing state flags will be at half-staff for a few days.
