Does anyone know if Pop is back in the gym and/or how he is recovering from surgery?

The staff was cautious with Pop early on. He was limited to riding the bike and shooting at the side baskets the first few workouts. He progressed to warming up with the team and doing some of the lighter non-contact drills. The last two weeks or so, he participated fully with the team during the workouts. The guys left for summer vacation last Friday and will return to campus in a couple of weeks.

Good to know. Thanks for the update!

Is Mason fully participating?

No, he wasn't doing much of anything yet before summer vacation, but it did look like he was walking normally.

Interesting analysis:

I think he under appreciates Fedor and his potential for this team. But considering it is not yet officially announced, it’s interesting to see a mention of him.

I think we have a lot of talent but not sure how it all fits together. I do have a lot of faith in Coach Mac and the staff and their ability to turn it into a well oiled machine.

seems like a fair and well researched writeup.

i think we all have a lot of the same questions. and we might be more optimistic because we're fans - while he is pointing out that we're losing two high caliber monster contributors in Trey and Baylor who will be very difficult to replace.

I agree. Those guys will be hard to replace.

Sorta forgot about the CSM countdown this summer. I think Nova at 85 and 10 is the first opponent showing.

CSM has Huss & High Point only 10 spots behind Villanova. It just shows how the next hire, in any sport matters. Plenty of examples even at CU. Johnny has struggled in soccer, Willis/Johnson in bball, but Flanery followed one of our best woman's coaches in Connie and surpassed her. And McDermott is the epitome of it based on our athletic budget needs

D-Rock comes in at 79:

I didn't realize former Sker flop Eduardo Andre was on his roster.
Also Joseph Yesufu, who started off at Drake and transferred to Kansas. He must be about 35 now.

At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.
