Are we still expecting Fedor to show up on 8/15 (two weeks from today)?

I don't have an answer on if he's for sure going to be here or not, but it's worth pointing out he played the last few seasons in tier 1 of the Bundesliga (German pro league). This was the same league Wragge played in a 2 seasons after he graduated where he averaged a little over 5 ppg.

Obviously situations are different and I don't know what to expect from Fedor if he makes it to campus, but he averaged 10.3 ppg in the league this last season. If things go to the upside this pick up could be quite a late season coup, the dude is a player.

Yeah, I mean, the Bundesliga has to be at least as competitive as high major D1, right?

Someone compared Rati and Fedor, and while there may be an adjustment to the American style of game for Fedor, he seems to be way ahead of Rati, either before he came over and currently (averaged 2ppg in La Liga last year). It would surprise if he weren't starting day 1 for us -- I don't think being a month or two behind re: playbook X's and O's matters if you're that good.

Such an interesting situation.

By most reports, Fedor is coming to Creighton. But it's not official. So, as a fan, I don't know what to think.

Are we adding an NBA prospect who played decent-level professional ball overseas who could immediately step in and have the potential to be one of our more skilled, battle-tested, experienced players? That would be awesome and a huge boost to our talent pool at a position with some question marks. If he comes, will he start? Won't he start? What position? Who goes to the bench if he starts? How does that impact them? Is it a negative for our younger guys (McAndrew, LJ, Ty) because they don't see a path to playing time? Is he truly one of the best shooting prospects? How long do we expect him to stay in Omaha if he comes? Does that impact how the younger guys view the situation?

Lots of questions about a guy "unofficially" heading to Omaha. To not know roster composition, with this type of addition still out there, on August 5 is odd. And exciting (if it happens).

There won't be anything official until the first day of classes. The closest thing to official is that he is no longer on the roster for Bilbao. The team in Spain he was set to join.

Spot on, Vivid. I was already super curious about next year's roster, and Zugic (potentially) joining adds even more curiosity.

Well my daughter moves in on the 16th and I have to go to the thing for freshman parents the next day, so I’ll let you know if I run into any Slavic parents when I’m there!
