Thanks for the heads up. Trey looking very good in the first half. Seth Greenberg (I''m not a real fan of his) was very complimentary and thinks he has a good chance of being in the rotation. Trey looked very comfortable, handled the ball well, rebounded well, and made a nice three and a couple of finishes to the rim.

Also, Russell Westbrook has been traded to the Nuggets. Have to think this hurts Treys chances of making their roster (duh).

They did announce that but still he thought Trey would make it. Didn't see the second half.

That Westbrook trade made me sad. Trey’s first summer league game was rough, but he’s been exceptional ever since. I really thought he was carving out something in Denver’s rotation. That acquisition hurts.

I think you could make the argument that Trey has been one of the top performers in all of summer league.

Baylor’s stats have been mostly respectable, but the eye test hasn’t been great. I’m someone who stalks both by recording their summer league games, and Baylor has not had the same look as Trey. Scary number of air balls. We know that’s not him and hopefully he can find a rhythm.

So fun to watch the Pro Jays.

It seemed to me all the love Trey was getting yesterday was after the Westbrook (who is 35) deal was already considered done, so I hope he’s still in good shape to carve out some backup minutes. They love him playing alongside Strawther and like him way better than Jalen Pickett, who has struggled.

Yeah Michael Malone was not going to play Trey on a contender. It’s one thing to look competent in the summer but Trey has a ways to go. That being said he looked way better than Tyson and Pickett and they are on contracts. Westbrook’s acquisition changed nothing. Trey needs to continue to shoot well and defend.

Baylor is in a similar situation. No real minutes are available but since he was drafted he’ll suit up more than Trey. Similar to Doug, they will want him to stand in the corner to stretch the floor and not make other mistakes. He’s an NBA shooter and it’s possible he carves a solid career.

Your paragraph regarding Trey doesn’t make sense to me. And if you think the acquisition of Westbrook changes nothing for Trey, umm ok …we will need to agree to disagree.

Brief but comprehensive story on Treys Creighton highlights and connections with the Nuggets summer league coach and CUs Vanderloo, from their time in Sewer City. I think Denver will be a good place for Trey.

Trey was the best player in today’s summer league game against NOP, and there wasn’t a close second. His game has taken some serious step forwards since we last saw him. He’s such an easy guy to cheer for.

Agreed, he looked like he was playing a different game then the rest of the summer league guys tonight. Trey has such great body control and can change speeds on a dime and knock down the three ball. His overall game translates well to the NBA. There were some pundits talking about his lack of athletic ability which is nonsense. They said the same thing about Jalen Brunson when he entered the draft.
