Spent two summers focused on draft. Doubt he's all that close to a degree. Hopefully he finishes someday

Fanta: "Trey Alexander told me he is staying in the draft regardless of what happened during the process."

Not sure where he's at academically in terms of how close to graduating, sounds like he will be an undrafted FA if he stays in the draft. Being a 2-way player, with majority of the games in G-League sounds rough compared to what he could/would have coming back and potentially getting his degree. Good luck to him, hope he has a long career as a professional athlete.

Hopefully he gets his degree at some point. I thought he was really close to putting it together at times last year, but he had some wild inconsistency (not just from 3, but in particular games even from 2 pt). His dream is to play in the NBA and it looks like he just decided to get on with that whether or not he has to play G-league or wherever

Best of luck to him! He'll always be one of the greats for us

I took the bait and looked up the weather in Bulgaria - in fact, the weather there is better than the weather in Omaha. Of course, that is probably one of the few things better there than in Omaha.

Big East all-academic team first two years, haven't announced this year. I'd bet he's very close to a degree with all the summer school these guys take.

Looks like the squad is finalized at 12 guys barring any last minute surprises. Rotation will be interesting to see this year with a log jam at the 4 and no depth at the 3. Have to imagine either Knox or Mason/Green will need to learn the 3 spot.

Johnson gives you depth at 3. But the opportunity is certainly there for Knox.

not sure how to do multi-quotes, but doing my best to add both here :)

I think Johnson will play some 3, but I can't see him playing there a ton. If we have Ashworth and Pops in the backcourt, we are going really small if we play Johnson with them

Lorenzi had an article where he mentioned Knox and said "I’d heard whispers of Knox’s potential throughout the summer. Of extensive workouts and days where he looked like one of the better players in the gym. I just needed to see it to believe it." So I'd not discount his changes. Additionally, while he was listed at 6-4, I keep seeing articles saying he's 6-6.. from team pic from last year he looks taller than 6-4, but maybe not 6-6?

Lots to be seen, but I think Mac's going to have to be creative to get Miller, Green, Traudt, and McAndrew on the floor

We did play a lot of Ashworth, Bello and Trey together last year so I am not as scared of LJ at 3 for 8-10 mpg. Now if we play Ashworth, Pop, LJ, Miller and Kalk together for long stretches, I think that lineup is going to get killed on the glass.
