that number from 3 PT range really shows improvement over what I saw from him earlier on, but it's not just the number. When you look at how he's shooting his 3's, his form is much cleaner and much better IMO

Looks pretty clear, we are looking for a 2 guard/scorer to put alongside Ashworth, but Johnson will play a lot. I think it's more that Mac and the coaches don't want to dump the pressure on him immediately as a true Frosh to be a/the primary scoring option every night

We have a great recruiting class coming in, but this is the guy I'm most excited about. He's the guy we haven't seen on our court since Marcus Foster from an attitude and athletic standpoint.

His shot form and results are good, and the way he competes and bullies people is something we need to enable shooters to shoot.

Going to miss Trey and Baylor they were tremendous, but we're passing the torch to the next version of the Jays and Greg is definitely re-loading.

Hard to say which one I'm most excited to see play for us. I think McAndrew likely has the highest ceiling, but I think Johnson plays the most this coming year. With Pops and Ashworth, we have 2 guys who can play together, but can also play with a more traditional 2 alongside them, and Johnson is that type of 2 guard

What's nice is that I think all 3 incoming Frosh have the potential to be named to an all BE team someday. For next year, a lot of it will be who is the most physically ready to play against mature BE players, and who will be able to defend the way we want.

Should add that from what I've heard, people shouldn't sleep on Knox either. While he was a late bloomer in HS and flew under the radar for recruiting, he's a very good athlete as well, as is Shane Thomas

Both McAndrews and LJ are high ceiling. Plenty of guys have made the league simply for being tall and a good shooter -- McAndrews just needs to add weight and make sure his shooting form translates to the NBA (speed and release point).

LJ on the other hand already looks like a (young) NBA guard. I think his raw athletic ability is comparable to the best athletes in the league, based on how high he jumps and how quickly he gets downhill to the rim. I get the Foster comparisons, but LJ seems to be on another level. His acceleration and explosive ability is just not something we have seen at Creighton (ever?).

My guess is that it will be very hard for Mac to keep LJ out of the rotation next season.
