Baylor makes a top 20 Wooden Award watch list

At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

I've loved his game since first seeing him play in a Creighton uniform. It's a well deserved honor.

He worked his ass off S&C and is a MUCH more complete player this year. It's been very impressive. Both ends of the floor, especially considering the minutes per game he is forced to play because of our bench. He is the POY in the conference, but for reasons mentioned, he likely won't win it. He deserves every accolade coming his way.

Creighton finishing as the 2-seed makes Baylor s more plausible POY candidate.

Didn’t the voting already close before yesterday’s games? Thought I saw that on the Twitter.

I heard John Fanta on a podcast this week say that coaches would be submitting their votes by Friday
