I actually know who posted that.

There are people who are told things and people who don’t need to be told because they’re right there watching everything unfold.

The person that said that is the latter.

I mean, I have had numerous interactions with the man, too. So my laughing and opinion is based on those personal interactions. And I think that’s true of others here, as well.

Can't imagine being Blossom and walking into an incredible, way overperforming AD and deciding not to extend or pay the head coach of an EXTREMELY successful basketball team that almost single handily increases the national brand of Creighton University (No disrespect to our other sports)....Blossom being a fucking idiot here would be not only a blow to our brand (i.e. can't keep / pay good coaches, especially with one whos sons name is in the rafters) but also a huge loss for our city and it's culture.

If it does happen... which would be unbelievably stupid by our university... but if it does... going outside of Mac's coaching tree would be an even dumber decision by our AD. It's Devries, Huss or Lutz*, with an extreme lean to the first two.

Mac pulls more weight than just coaching at Creighton. He understands Omaha, he gets our brand, our boosters and our fan base. I'm thinking everyone (mostly our AD if we fuck this up) is taking for granted how blessed we are to consistently be a 20+ win team. Why fuck this up? We've climbed from breaking through to a sweet 16 in 2021 to an elite 8 in 2023... you can only climb the mountain top if you keep your lead horse. We're a fucking blue blood now in the Big East - who would've dreamed that up 10 years ago?
