IIRC, Mac left before ISU could fire him. But pretty sure it was going to happen. Good point regardless.

He left on his own, but it was heading that way yes

Just a thought but the administration looks totally ridiculous right now. Have to think there's urgency to get something done (a raise) and public to avoid a coup.

+1 thought about this too. Was wondering what Blossom's email inbox looks like today after them talking about it for basically an hour on 590 this morning.

If Mac leaves he won’t be booed if he ever found himself playing back in Omaha, but you bet your @ss anytime Hendrickson is shown on the screen the fanbase would let their opinion be known.

+1000 for everything I've heard about Hendrickson without knowing the guy, I get the vibe that would be something he'd fear most. A damaged image.

Yeah there's been rumors before obviously but right now it seems like they're running wild and totally unopposed. Something should give pretty quickly.

Don't remember this kind of press last year or before and that could be totally intentional by Mac's representation.

This is what bothers me the most. Uhhh Fr. Hendrickson...you're a man of God...did you forget that? The whole forgiving thing? Make amends if there's an issue and stop being egotistical.

Idk if I have met someone who likes Father… everyone that I know who has interactions with him thinks he’s only about himself

This issue has been lurking, and it’s why I think there’s likely more fire than smoke when these rumors surface. It was great that Altman came back from Arkansas, but something had changed. It was just a matter of time. Hendrickson showing his true colors had that feel to it.

I’ll preface my take here with this – Creighton basketball is a big deal to the university and to Omaha. Numbers and national exposure don’t lie. I & many alumni care a great deal for the program and have the upmost respect for Mac & how he handles himself professionally and personally.

Two things should happen to ensure he retires here: 1 Pay the man. 2 Hendrickson needs to go.

DB said he's of the opinion Ted Carter would be all over Mac and would love to make that hire. Take that FWIW, since it's someone not involved with CU. But, you often hear coaches talk about how important leadership is when they want to go somewhere, and Carter seems to be well liked by everyone, which is the opposite of Hendrickson

Since when is Benning back on the radio again? He's on then he's off then he's on again? I can't keep track of this guy's decisions. I remember he was supposed to co-host with Ravi and then something changed - and that show then had a rotating crew of awful people in the second chair. Might have to start listening to their show again if they are settled in.
