You are not wrong. I'd be curious to learn what the impact of NIL has been on money flow, though. How much is it detracting from university/program donations vs. how much are boosters choosing to just donate more to support both funds/is NIL attracting new donations that didn't previously exist? The latter has to be true to a significant extent for the current model to work, right?

My guess is it’s a mix of new donations v old donations being reallocated to NIL. What’s your read on the Mac rumors Jacob?

The success of this basketball program is an intregal part of Omaha's development. Every time this team plays on CBS, Fox, FS1, FS2, ESPN etc., they (the university and the business community) are getting house money. The amount of exposure Creighton (and Omaha) gets is worth millions. The Chamber of Commerce and local businesses are not oblivious to this. If they haven't been supporting NIL, then they are clearly missing the opportunity that not many get.

Listened to Hurrdat radio this morning, with Ravi and Benning. They spent the first 45 minutes talking about Mac rumors. They didn't say anything new or that hasn't been discussed here. Ravi mentioned he thinks Creighton "has some work to do" in terms of keeping Mac. DB was really complimentary of Mac, and said if he were OSU he would rather have a guy like Mac than Nate Oats. DB spoke to how good Mac is at interacting with the fanbase, and how good he is at developing players. They both stayed pretty high level in regards to the rumors about Blossom/Hendrickson. I don't know if that's because they both don't know a lot about the specifics of that tension, or they just chose to not feed into it. Ravi said Blossoms biggest downfall could simply be that he's not Ras.

That last sentence I think has some weight. I think there is some bad blood between father and Mac, I think it’s more lack of relationship then it is a negative relationship with blossom and Mac. It’s an impossible task to fill Rass shoes

That was the point. It's reasonable to assume that any additional contributions made to the university to cover pay raises hinder the ability to provide NIL

This is what bothers me the most. Uhhh Fr. Hendrickson...you're a man of God...did you forget that? The whole forgiving thing? Make amends if there's an issue and stop being egotistical.

I strongly doubt that. The donors with the kind of cash to make a significant impact on Mac's decision have enough bankroll to support both with ease.

Idk if I have met someone who likes Father… everyone that I know who has interactions with him thinks he’s only about himself

Very odd. What is it with these upper-level admins hell bent on destroying a good thing? Nebraska went through the same with Perlman until he stepped down.

One thing Benning mentioned is how well liked Ted Carter was at UNL, and how involved he was with sports. Rhule apparently loves him.

DB said he's of the opinion Ted Carter would be all over Mac and would love to make that hire. Take that FWIW, since it's someone not involved with CU. But, you often hear coaches talk about how important leadership is when they want to go somewhere, and Carter seems to be well liked by everyone, which is the opposite of Hendrickson
