This guy is pretty well connected. Followed by Trilly, and a lot of other legitimate CBB guys. Last year when Mac's name was being thrown around and rumors of his relationship with Blossom became a national topic, this guy held a Twitter Spaces similar to what he's doing tonight. The best part about it is that Marcus Blossom was in the Spaces, listening.

Oh man, I’d forgotten about that. I was listening to that and saw Blossom’s account pop up and about fell out of my chair. Hilarious.

Gonzaga had a huge surge in its applications , alumni donations etc as a result of its basketball success so many years ago.

This affects way more than the athletic department. Keep CU moving forward. Keep Coach Mac

There’s something really funny about all this: the things that are being repeated to fan the flames by Mr. Insistence00 are things that are a re-hash of what was said last year around this time, yet everyone seems to be jumping to the conclusion (or coming close to it) that the apocalypse is nigh.

Here’s the truth: there are a bunch of arrows pointing in several different directions here. And no one has even stopped to think that at 60 he not only might not go, it can be a huge obstacle to even be chosen. The guy at OSU wasn’t even there when they tried to hire Mac.

I know ‘people’ too, and those people have repeatedly said his next stop is the golf course. They aren’t changing their tune because the Field of 68 and Norlander think he should get a call.

Whether or not Mac should get a raise is a different discussion entirely. In fact the irony is the better we do the more likely it is someone will pay up for a guy his age even though he’s pretty open about what he plans on doing after coaching, unlike a guy like Pitino who’ll be doing this in a Weekend at Bernie’s basketball remake. Who’s paying a ton for a guy who’ll likely be lining up putts in five years?

how is it funny? Do you have a bone to pick or something? Why shouldn't this information be shared on a night when the coaching carousel has unofficially started?

Nothing you just said contradicts anything about a potentially strenuous relationship between Coach Mac and the Athletic Department and Administration.

Read much?

How does this get from accepted fact yesterday to ledge sitting today?

It’s funny because news of that friction is a surprise to no one but suddenly a bunch of people start sweating.

It’s more likely one day in the next few years he up and bails then this. In fact I’ll even say it’s more likely he doesn’t get an interview than him getting an offer.

I honestly have no idea what you're saying. Can you please articulate your thoughts clearly?
