Baylor is now leading the team in 3 major categories: points, rebounds and assists.
The last 2 games, he had 9 and 7 assists.
He also leads the team, of course, in three pointers made.
And any time Jackson hits a 3, he kisses his fingers and holds them in the air. He has witnessed Scheierman, a career 39% shooter from deep, do that over and over. It’s the type of thing that made him change his number from 11 to 55.
“When he makes long shots, instead of yelling, ‘Kobe!’ or anything like that, he yells out ‘Baylor Scheierman,’” Andrew said.
But why?
What makes an 8-year-old decide to sit down at that moment and fall in love with that team and player? What kept him coming back more than a year later? Why on a team that also has Trey Alexander and Ryan Kalkbrenner, did Scheierman stand out?
“Because he breaks everybody’s ankles and knocks down, like, almost every 3 he takes,” Jackson said.

Much better reading than the last few writers for the OWH on the Jays.

Yes — I was commenting / responding to the statement that he is much better than “the last few” and trying to recall who that has been— Joel, Nyatawa, Piv — anyone else in there?
