Been watching the limited highlights on Amare and I think this kid is going to be a star. He reminds me of a mix of Justin Patton and Sam Perkins ( not to put pressure on the kid) He looks to have a massive wingspan, I’m thinking around 7’4 or so. I have a feeling he will attend a national prep school his Sr. Year and his recruiting will BLOW UP. He we can sign him!

Trying to understand why an unofficial. He wants to pay for this himself to save "official visits" for other schools? If so, why come then?

Makes sense to me, he's local, why use up an official visit to a place that is close by.

Someone teach me (because I honestly don't know), besides paying for travel, lodging and such, are there other things that a school can do on an official visit that they cannot do on an unofficial visit?
