Their leading scorer last year was their 4-man (who returned) and they added a grad transfer at that position as well. Tough spot to be in if you're looking for significant immediate playing time as a true freshman.

Isaac's a stretch 4. Can shoot off the catch or off the dribble, both from 3 and mid-range. Uses his length to finish around the basket as well, and I imagine a redshirt year of strength and conditioning has allowed him to put on some good weight. Athletic enough to go punch it on someone, even if he isn't the most quick-twitch/sudden of players.

He reminds me of a more perimeter-oriented Kevin Love. All around skilled forward with some quickness and good size. I see him starting over Miller to replace all of Kaluma's minutes on next year's team.

Miller was the No. 74 recruit in the country, will have 2 years under his belt at CU heading into next year. Traudt was slightly better at 64, but hasn't played a game in college and hasn't practiced with the team.

There are a whole lot of IF's involved before we plan on Traudt starting at PF for us next year -- I mean, IF Kaluma leaves for the NBA, IF Traudt comes here, and then whoever starts at the 4 needs to beat out Green, who's already here, and MIller who may not compete for those minutes if Baylor moves on the the pros. In general, I think we'd happily play both Traudt and Miller alongside one another at the forward spots

Depth is good, having more shooters and athletic guys is good!

Let's beat Baylor and move on

If Traudt wants to be here, we definitely need to make room for him. And I personally think he would be a nearly perfect addition to our team. Everything I have heard about him and his family is that they are top notch people and CU would be lucky to have them as part of our community. Sounds like his girlfriend is a CU volleyball player too, so that might have some impact on his decision.

Supporting him and helping him deal with his disease (T1D) will be very important in the recruiting process.

I know, because my family went through this process at the D3 level. Being closer to home is a huge plus, too.

IIRC Joe Dabbert was T1 so not new territory.

Although Gordy might be only one still around from those days

You are correct sir - Joe D has T1DM. Strong support in Omaha for Isaac.
