It looks like KU and SDSU are doing a home and home beginning next year, so I doubt KU would be the Big 12 rep.

I don't understand how SDSU got this deal.

So I guess Notre Dame won't be moving to the ACC in 2014, right? I don't think they officially announced a date for the move. Can't have two teams from the same conference in an MTE, correct?

My guess is that it will be made where they don't play each other so there are the Jays two opponents. The Irish and Seminoles.

Yeah, that is weird. My guess is that no, they aren't supposed to be in the same one, but it may depend on when the contract is signed (at least that is what I think I heard at one time). Of course Longwood and Presbyterian are both part of the Big South and they could meet each other in Vegas in that lower set of games. Then in this year's Old Spice Classic, Oklahoma and West Virginia are both in it from the Big 12. Both are on opposite sides of bracket, but in theory could meet. So need some clarification on the rules.

SDSU is in the BE for football only, and will be in the Big West for all non-football sports. There is no conflict.

My point was that SDSU and KU are already playing next year, so I bet KU won't sign up for this tournament if SDSU is in it.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Probably has something to do w/recruiting since California has a ton of basketball talent.

I just have to post this because it is interesting. The Jays will be in the 2014 Hall of Fame Tip-off as it was announced earlier. The 2013 Hall of Fame Tipoff will have North Carolina and Louisville.

It is interesting because I remember back several years ago when the Jays pulled out of the Vegas tournament that included Louisville and North Carolina. I was pretty upset about that. Now, although Creighton didn't pull out of any field regarding this tournament, again they just miss the opportunity to play in a tournament field with North Carolina and Louisville.

Now that we've played UNC in the NCAA tournament, it doesn't bother me as much. I also see Mac as being less likely to walk away from an opponent than Dana was.

I really like the slate at the Vegas this year and the slate at the casino in two years is pretty solid too. I wish we knew more about next years tourney. In the past, I recall them listing the succeeding years participants during the tourney. Maybe some of you guys not going to Vegas can watch the Anaheim tourney and let us know if they say anything?

Maybe I'm just holding a grudge/don't have enough faith in humanity/am excessively paranoid, but I would not at all complain if the Jays never played UNC or in the state of North Carolina again. I don't trust that population not to get violent towards a player, coach, or fan after last year.
