I would be ecstatic with that kind of outcome. The positional flexibility would be really strong.

Options in likely order:

PG Options
Nembhard
Reef / Trey
Rati
Schtolzberg

Wing Options
Trey
Rati / Christofilis / Farabello / Miller
Schtolzberg
Reef / Nembhard

Forward Options
Art
King
Miller
Green

Center options
Kalk
King
Art
Green

Also, there's been a lot of consternation about whether we have enough shooting, and I think you can never have enough. However, I think we can all expect some lift in performance for all the returners which could soften this concern. I also think that Trey is potentially a better shooter than he showed last year, especially when he was forced into point guard duty. Give all of our young guys a year to learn the system, work on their games over the summer, etc. I fully expect a big jump for all of them.

Please let King happen...our potential would be really, really high.

He said he wants the ball in his hands. But I don't think he can do the things that Mac wants his PG to do... which is mostly to push the pace of play when appropriate (which in Mac's mind is most of the time) and to be the penetrator on the pick and dive that keeps the floor spacing intact by getting opponents to abandon the perimeter defense to help on the pick and dive. He's just not a PG in our system.

If he's a fan of great ball movement and sharing the sugar, then we're his team. If he has to have the ball in his hands all the time... well...

Saw some tape of Scheierman looks like the real deal.

It would be great to have him, but if he wants to be the "Man" I don't see CU being his school. We have to many returnees that have just scratched the surface of their upside in particular Trey and Art.

Also, the reality is Kansas was his dream school and now their Knocking on his door, tough school to recruit against.

If you want to be in state and be the man with the ball in your hands at all times, go to Nebraska and have fun trying to dish the ball off to others not paying attention or moving hard and losing games by how much you can score + 20 from your teammates vs. the entire other team.

If you want to touch the ball a lot and create plays, score and dish to hard cutters and others moving with purpose and passion and showcase your PG/ball handling skills to the next level, and stay in state, come to CU and excel in an a difficult system in 1 year and have a chance to really show the scouts something.

I mean look at Nebraska's current roster now lol. It's atrocious. The only reason he'd go there right now is for cash. That team even with him isn't going .500. He had a better roster at SDSU and that's not an exaggeration.

The pitch to Scheierman is that he replaces Hawkins. Yes, they are different players, but I'm talking about usage and opportunity. It's a lot of minutes. It can mean a lot of shot attempts; he'd have the green light at all times like Hawk did. If he thrives in CU's great system, he absolutely could be our leading scorer next year. In Omaha, that might mean you score 16 per game because we are balanced as opposed to potentially 20/game elsewhere. But with Creighton, if reality meets expectations, you're also on TV every game competing for a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament and possibly a National Championship.

It's a strong, honest pitch.

Sell the Maui Invitational too. Instant exposure early in the year.
