I’m starting to think Jays may be going to war with no defections from this team and only a backup big (King?) left to be determined.

Shame

You could be right, but I think we need to remember that we probably aren’t heavily pursuing every guy that we are linked to. We were linked to so many people last year and there was panic every time someone committed to another team.

I think if we add another player (other than backup big), that guy's name isn't even in the portal yet. I think Coach Ryan Miller is looking for a swing for the fences, impact transfer or we'll play the hand we've got. That player is probably going to be totally under the radar until he's announced. Mac is a good poker player when it comes to recruiting.

always has been. the two that come to mind are Krampelj and Jefferson. Both commitments were totally unexpected and both ended up being impact/ borderline All-BE players on very good teams.

Not worried. We have everything going for us right now to land a big fish or two.

Best of luck to him. Hope he gets a shot somewhere else. I wonder who is coming in then...to fill his scholarship

I am guessing we are banking on King as a back-up to Kalk for a year (or 2) and then Wilkinson from LSU to help shore up the 3% threat on the wing. Grabbing those 2 would be an absolute coup at this point. We would be LOADED!!!

Guards - R2/Trey/Reef/Rati/Ben/JC/Sami/Devin
Forwards - Art/Miller/Green/Wilk/Yates
Center - Kalk/King

Those bolded names have already shown the ability to compete in games for D1. You have to believe (hope) Mason, Jasen, and Fredrick could contribute as well. Who knows if Ben and/or JC turn into solid contributors as well. That's at least 10 dudes we could count on without holding our breath each possession. Not to mention its been said how great Mac and staff have been at DEVELOPING players in the off season.

Gives you tons of options and, if everyone pans out, 2 deep at each position.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Kenny Lofton Jr. has officially entered the portal. I’d assume he’s immediately the top available guy. Absolute stud. He’s really a traditional PF so it would mean Kaluma playing the 3, but if he were interested for some reason he’s probably a must take
