Definitely has potential and still has 4 years of eligibility. Would be a backup for Kalkbrenner in year 1 and then can take over. Has baggage though, I guess his name was cleared on sexual assault case?

My understanding is the charges were dropped.

For what it is worth, Foster says he wants to go someplace “warm”.

That is correct. No charges were ever filed against him. No baggage.

The Gainey kid from Brown/Dishon Thomas from Colo St. both look interesting as well.

We've got 2 already in PF Jasen Green and PG/CG Ben Shtolzberg.
How many spots still available?
A transfer C/PF would fill the bill imho.

Of course, another Top 100 kid would also be nice - plenty reopening their recruitments
in the wake of the many coaching changes (Georgia, Florida, LSU, etc.) There are 10 Rivals
Top 100's/15 Top 150 back on the market.
- 3 reopening at LSU in Traore, Phillips, +1 other. Florida with Reneau (Monteverde).
Skyy Clarke (Monteverde), Ward (DeMatha), Anthony Black (Duncanville), Aiden Shaw (KCMO).

We haven’t been involved in Anthony Blacks recruitment for almost a year. He’s deciding this week and we’re not on the list. Lol

No charges being filed does not mean “no baggage”.

what i've read about Foster isn't encouraging. I looked at the iowa state board when all that stuff went down. numerous comments about his work ethic and drive for the game. Obviously the coaches are paid to vet that stuff, but I would hope we can land someone more proven than Foster.

More proven? I mean you can find a more proven, experienced option on the transfer market but that doesn't mean said player would be better than Foster. In fact, good chance that that player would be objectively worse than Foster if that player is transferring up from a low major. If you're hoping to get an Oscar Tshiebwe-type player, well, that's probably unrealistic period.
Foster has the tools to be a very good player... the question is can he keep his head about him. I wouldn't personally appreciate having a potential sex offender on campus, but it's up to the coaches to properly vet him in that regard (and I think they've earned our trust). At any rate, I'd be surprised if he comes here so I think the discussion is moot.
