From the Kentucky b-ball site: "The center averaged 18.9 points, 13.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game for Utah Valley this season. He totaled 27 double-doubles this season.

Aimaq played his freshman season at Mercer before transferring to Utah Valley in 2019.

Travis Branham of 247Sports reports that Aimaq will declare for the NBA Draft and explore his options there before returning to school. If school is the choice, what is Aimaq searching for?

“Somewhere where I’ll be on the biggest stage with a great team where we can make a run,” Aimaq told Branham."

He definitely puts up big time numbers and can shoot. Wonder if he is quick enough to play the 4, move Kaluma to the 3.

And with the reputation that I think we have now in utilizing and developing Bigs... I would think we should get one?

I dont think we will need a great center. Just a back up who can play 10 minutes a game. Kalk proved all season he can playing most of a game and not get fouls either so we need someone to play a few minutes and basically not be a liability

I believe your thinking too short-term.

Kalk will likely be gone after next year.

Speculation here, one guy to watch though is Kerwin Walton from UNC. We were on him heavily 2 years ago and his playing time is now non-existant.

Don't you think we have improved as a program to not be looking as much at players that aren't getting playing time? I do. I would assume we are looking at difference makers at their current school that are looking to make a change for other reasons like coaching, geography, upgrade to competition or team chemistry. No offense to Kerwin Walton but if he's not playing at UNC what makes you think he's find playing time here?
