We were interested in this guy.

Former Kent State G Michael Nuga is transferring to UNLV per Verbal Commits.

Worth keeping a close eye on this one... I'd bet it's not a coincidence this announcement happened after Jalen Courtney-Williams was hired by Creighton. Feazell was at Mississippi State when JCW was the video coordinator, and transferred to McNeese when he was an assistant there. Struggled at MSU but was recruited by Alabama, Baylor, Iowa State, Pitt and Texas out of high school.

To be honest, no thanks. I'd much rather take Hawkins at the forward spot. No offense to KeyShawn, but he's not a P6 player.

To be honest, right now we have room for more than one player. And I'll trust our new coach and his assessment of whether this player could contribute at our level -- if he thinks so and there's an offer, I'll defer to his judgment for now.

Haha I'm no expert, but all I see is 1.4 ppg at an actual Power 6 school (Mississippi State), a negative assist-to-turnover ratio at McNeese, no 3-point shot whatsoever, and a dude that had 6 points and 5 turnovers against the only P6 team they played last year (and a not very good one in Nebraska). This screams mid-major to me. But I defer to the coaches.

Agree NuCu stats arent jumping off the page, but video, albeit poor sample size from last year he looks okay, plus he's a mature player in terms of age and experience. I'd hope the Jays are looking to grab a guy like him to come off the bench to contribute.

I really like Hawkins as a player and moreso as a fit. Think he's the perfect mold for our system and what we need next year with so many young players. He's the priority.

It’s not like Feazell is gonna come in and play 25 mins a game. Kalkbrenner needs a backup and this dude would be perfect for the backup center role. Hawkins is more of a 3/4 along with Mason. Antwann, Hawkins, and Mason will all split all the minutes at the 3/4. Plenty of minutes to share for those 3 between the 2 positions.

If Feazell does end up at CU, I assume he would be brought in for depth at the 5, so there should be plenty of room for both him (or some other transfer big) and Hawkins.

Southland Conference was ranked #30 out of 32 conferences on KenPom, so not sure how he would fare vs. Big East competition. At least he seems to be a good FT shooter.
