Zero, zip, nada. There is not one kid still in the portal or left in the 2021 class who has a Creighton mention on Twitter or rumor at any forum I’ve seen within the last few weeks.

Once someone says something it will get posted.

Never understood these, ‘who has heard anything here’ takes as if a forum member has been holding out information simply waiting for someone to ask before they post their knowledge. I suppose it could be someone who almost never visits the recruiting board but looking at threads already in place can make it pretty clear that it’s crickets in Jay land.

Certainly looks bleak right now. But rest assured, LJay will have the link from Twitter posted within 4 minutes of the Tweet being sent out if that does happen.

For some context, we got a commit from AOC out of nowhere, without any mentions of Creighton being interested in him or vice versa. We don't really have any recruiting "insiders" on the board, so it's tough to know for sure what's exactly going on behind the scenes.

Getting the assistants hired and announced will help.

AOC was out of nowhere. The two euros were out of nowhere. This staff (what’s left of it) isn’t one to let things out so if a kid isn’t all about himself on Twitter mentions then there won’t be much out there. Sort of the Mason Miller (quiet) vs TyTy (post, like, retweet!).

I am not despairing, it’s probably better to have an out of the blue announcement about a new coach and oh, here’s a shiny new stud to come along with me, than a Creighton is in my top 5 and then have the other four schools negative recruit against CU.

I thought we all learned by now that the staff seems to keep things pretty quiet if they can. Rati and AOC came out of no where last year.

Also - Huss recently followed Johnathan Lawson. Oregon decommit. He plays with Mason/coached by Mike Miller. This is all speculation on my part, but I would bet we are recruiting him.

Lawson has likely Memphis commit written all over him, seems like that was reason he decommitted from Oregon. I would be shocked if we inquired or had any chance even if we inquired.

No, he decommited because his brother is transferring from Oregon. You may be right, but with all those connections I think it’s silly to say we don’t have a chance. And clearly we inquired if Huss followed him on Twitter, yes?

What about assistant coaches? Is Huss our only recruiter right now?
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

He was quoted as saying Memphis recruited him late and hard, after he had pretty much made up his mind about Oregon because his brother was at Oregon. Now that his brother has left Oregon, if I am a betting man, I would bet Penny Hardaway gets him. Hopefully, he won’t choose DePaul, as Stubblefield was the recruiter that got him committed at Oregon. Creighton was not even on his list of schools last year.
