His statement says nothing about Mac and the controversy. We don't know. All we know is the kid has been skyrocketing through the recruit rankings, which has opened up more and more possibilities for him. Maybe he wants to play for a blue blood? He could have signed last November but didn't? Does anyone know why?

And what's he going to Tweet? "I don't want to play for a coach that said something racist" That'll sure go over well with Creighton fans.
And if you think he hasn't been recruited by other programs during the time between when he committed and when Mac said what he did, I don't know what to tell you. KU, UK, etc. have almost certainly been sniffing around for a while given how he moved up in the rankings significantly during the fall. Same thing happened with JP.
And Tyty could have decommited earlier. Why wouldn't he have if it was all about getting better offers?

And to that point, would he have decommitted without Mac saying what he did if it took that much of smokescreen to make his move?
I think it's likely someone in his circle got in his ear and said something to the effect of "did you hear what that Coach Mac said? You know, you could go to a bigger, better program and play a big role and you wouldn't have to be coached by that awful guy at Creighton."

And this is assuming that everyone already on the team stays, which is not guaranteed.
We might be just as well bringing in a new head coach and blowing it all up now anyways
Please go away.
