Would be really surprised if Mac doesn’t reach out to Ty and his family!

TyTy. You watching? You may want to reconsider. Hell of a performance. All the best.
So long Valley, hello big time.

Sorry if I refuse to hit the panic button. Could this decommit be due to Mac's boneheaded word choice? Absolutely. Could it also be an opportunity of convenience to decommit? His statement says nothing about Mac and the controversy. We don't know. All we know is the kid has been skyrocketing through the recruit rankings, which has opened up more and more possibilities for him. Maybe he wants to play for a blue blood? He could have signed last November but didn't? Does anyone know why?

And what's he going to Tweet? "I don't want to play for a coach that said something racist" That'll sure go over well with Creighton fans.
And if you think he hasn't been recruited by other programs during the time between when he committed and when Mac said what he did, I don't know what to tell you. KU, UK, etc. have almost certainly been sniffing around for a while given how he moved up in the rankings significantly during the fall. Same thing happened with JP.
And Tyty could have decommited earlier. Why wouldn't he have if it was all about getting better offers?

Obviously he's not going to tweet if it was a factor, whether it's a factor or not. What if it wasn't, but the timing offers an easy out to a difficult decommit he was planning to do anyway? And of course he's continued to be recruited by blue bloods nonstop. We seem to be saying the same thing on that. The difference is, you seem to be just jumping to conclusions.

Sure it does. I think Occam's razor applies here, however.
And to that point, would he have decommitted without Mac saying what he did if it took that much of smokescreen to make his move?

I think it's likely someone in his circle got in his ear and said something to the effect of "did you hear what that Coach Mac said? You know, you could go to a bigger, better program and play a big role and you wouldn't have to be coached by that awful guy at Creighton."

Fair enough. I'm not a recruiting guru, but I was always a little shaky about Ty Ty's commitment, especially since he didn't sign.

I am sure that he already did and his decommitment wasnt a surprise to Mac.

There’s a ton we don’t know about this all. Maybe all the other recruits are on super solid ground. Maybe they’re not at all and Mac and/or the University is considering different options after the conclusion of the season. None of us know. Just enjoy Bishop lobs from Zegarowski for now.

And this is assuming that everyone already on the team stays, which is not guaranteed.

We might be just as well bringing in a new head coach and blowing it all up now anyways

Please go away.
