Even while being the #30 player in the nation, he’s still underrated. We don’t get guys like this often, if ever. This just sucks. Can’t really put into words how much this hurts our program. He’s big time.

Mac obviously made recruiting harder by what he said. I have a hard time seeing him being able to recruit enough quality players going forward with that lingering. The comment might not have cost him his job right now, but falling to the bottom of the conference will soon enough.

But I knew this was not an unlikely outcome based on how the university handled this. It's not the argument about whether or not Mac's actions were a fireable offense, but if his actions impact his ability to lead this program going forward.
