He would be an immediate contributor, almost like the effect P'Allen had. But, he keeps getting more and more BCS offers. It's unlikely. After him, I'd like to see Marcus Foster. He's a little undersized at 6-2/6-3, but he plays bigger. He is a very good rebounder and uses his body well in the paint. If we want a taller 2 guard, like Nevin, it would be Peter Jok or Fuller. It looks like Fuller is going to the B1G, maybe Nebraska  Peter Jok is a big talent as well, but do we want to take the chance on him with all his injuries? I'm very confident our staff will get a very good player with this last spot, and in my opinion it will be the best player of this class. Go Jays!

Let's hope not...

Strictly basketball wise. The production he gave his freshmen year was really good. 12 and half points a game, 3 rebounds, 2 or 3 assists. But, that was his peak. I wasn't implying that Kendal would have attitude problems like that.

Not that we really had a chance anymore anyways, but I think our chances at Akoy are completely shot. On twitter, someone named @BluejayBuff, got in an argument with Akoy. Akoy stated one of his teammates was too good to play in the Valley, and BluejayBuff had to chime in. Akoy said he doesn't care what this guy thinks, because he "isn't even a Creighton fan"'.

The more I hear about Akoy, the more I dislike. He has BCSitis, suitors etc, I say no thanks. I has talent but his attitude and demeanor remind me of a former bluejay whose names starts w/"P."

Saw that too. Thats fine, I would rather have Hanson, Hegner, and Harris, kids who are excited about CU and want to play here as opposed to Akoy anyways. If he isn't a fan maybe he should not use our front row tickets behind our bench this year.

Be nice, that one's been over for a long time and the coaches appear to realize it as well as they have played nice while pursuing their priorities. Personally, I don't think he as valuable as Hegner or Hanson for Creighton although he has the potential to be better than them.

Can he be a good D1 player, yes and he should be. Can he be a top player and a starter in the Big East? That remains to be seen. I personally don't think his game suits Georgetown's offense very well. He's not beating out Otto Porter anytime soon and when Porter leaves they'll get another version of him to take his place. Akoy has value as a defensive sub and rotation guy so that's where he likely fits into that team. If he doesn't like it, he may choose to transfer back to some place where he might get the minutes and maybe, if his attitude is good.. we might want him back.

yep... I'm sure that Coach Tim Miles would take him on the transfer rebound.

Fitting Georgetown's offense = not being a good offensive player.

Georgetown's offense is slow, methodical and boring. Anyone who fits that system does not fit the uptempo system we run.

I want to play uptempo and want kids who want to play uptempo. I don't want to play like Georgetown, Northern Iowa or Wisconsin. Those offenses are great cures for insomnia.

For the record, it wasn't argument. :D I merely mentioned him in a tweet and he tweeted back at me twice. He claimed that a player of his at Central (who is receiving ZERO D1 attention) was too good for the MVC and that Creighton was making a mistake in not recruiting him. I simply pointed out that many great players have, and will continue to, come from "mid-major" conferences and universities. A player saying that ANY player is too good for a conference is simply stupid, bullheaded, and ignorant. If a player is truly great, he will dominate at any level, regardless of the conference. Doug is an example. Players on "mid-major" teams continue to prove that they can battle with the best of them.
