2021 PG Ryan Nembhard (Signed)

To me this is always the most intriguing thing about building a team for the long haul which it seems like Greg has found a good balance.

While we all would like to get some more of the Top 30 guys (heck, one would be nice) there is a nice living to be made finding guys rated between 40 and 150 and picking the guys that best fit together.

To me the ideal point guard for Greg's system is on our team right now...Marcus. He's tough, smart, very good outside shooter, and a willing and able passer that uses all of the other players around him to make them better. Will Marcus be a top flight pro prospect (ie lottery pick), I'm guessing no, but he's as good as I've seen at running this team and this system.

Nembhard seems to be built in the same mold as Marcus. Will he be as good ... likely not, but he'll probably be a better fit for our team than getting a 5 star point guard that jacks shots on their way to the league.

Greg now just needs to give him the supporting parts to keep this program rolling along.

Score tied 33 to 33 at half. Montverde wins the 3rd quarter 20 to 9. Montverde must have gone into their 5 game for the fourth quarter winning 58-52

It’ll be interesting to see who turns out to be the better college player. Ryan or Chucky Hepburn. Love the fact that Ryan is a true old school PG. Was recruited by some big time programs as well. Big Chucky fan though. Old school pass first PG that can really D you up.

A year ago Nolan Hickman played for EastsideCatholic in the Seattle Metro league. Nolan couldn’t miss a shot last year when playing against the team I was coaching. The guy can score. Very smooth. It will be interesting to see if Ryan guards him and can stop him. Excited to see Ryan and our other great recruits next year.
