We already have a possible 10 man rotation without him eligible. With only 2 games probably against non P6 competition there isn't a lot of room for experimenting anyways.

Still injuries and positive covid tests can happen, doesnt hurt to have an insurance policy just in case.....

I feel like if he’s eligible this year then that will take away from focusing on improving himself which sounds like was his ultimate goal of transferring.

I hope that rumor is true, and I’m also hoping he’d have next year as eligibility as well. For everyone touting taking a year to develop and grow there’s really nothing guaranteed in the future. Assemble everyone you can to win now and keep recruiting/bringing in high level transfers and we’ll be in great shape as a program.

I'm sure the only way he plays this year is if he knows he also has next year. At least everything I've read tells me that.

As long as he is ok with it, I hope this happens.

NCAA already ruled that you don't lose a year of eligibility by playing this season. Theoretically Mitch could come back for a 2nd senior year next season if he wanted. So AOC should be fine with playing since he'd be able to play next year also

He would have to be granted a waiver first to play this year.

They are handing waivers out like candy on Halloween.

Waiver being filed for AOC to play. This would be huge for this season. And if AOC can play again next year with a COVID waiver, even better.
