Jerry Meyer's take on TyTy:

Where do you feel TyTy Washington ends up?

ILLINI217 @DustinVick217

That is a tough one. It looks like Creighton and Illinois are the top two options for TyTy Washington, but after that it looks like a toss up. Creighton has a strong position with the 6-3 point guard out of Chandler (Ariz.) Compass Prep, but Washington also recently unofficially visited Illinois. I don’t know who has the edge and neither does the Crystal Ball which has no predictions at this point.

What I can tell you is that the No. 67 ranked Washington is much better than is ranking. That number 67 will become smaller when 247Sports updates the 2021 ranking.

Washington has a physical presence on the court and can turn the corner on a ball screen with vengeance. He finishes with authority and has court awareness while on the move. The jump shot keeps the defense honest, and he will defend and rebound.

Not holding my breath going up against Orlando Antiqua recruiting him. Has had a rep for a long time under Cal and as HC at USF.

Staff put themselves is a good spot though whatever happens. Couldn’t be two different HC personalities between Mac and Underwood. Underwood is a heck of coach and runs a lot of Dana’s old Johnny Orr offense but he’s got a lot of Gregggggg crazy in him as well.

We usually lose out in battles like this with big State schools but hoping for the best. Kid looks like a great fit in Omaha

He just liked a random tweet from the jays basketball Twitter account. One I don’t see him liking if he’s about to commit to Illinois, but I also fall into these social media traps.
