While I like the construct of CU’s team, if I could add one more element, it would be another shot-maker like this kid. I get all the caveats about his level of competition, but at this stage, to add an experienced college player who can be another perimeter threat and *gasp* *don’t say it* *you better not jinx us* injury insurance and depth, I’d take it. If he’s looking for a jump in competition, playing in front of huge crowds and contributing on a Top 10 team, come to Omaha.

How many years of eligibility does he have? There might be no crowds or reduced crowds next year

I believe he only plays one year.

And good point about the crowds. If the season is played, it's tough to imagine a scenario where 15,000+ are attending.

Stony Brook grad transfer Makale Foreman tells me he's receiving interest from the following programs:

BYU
Cal
Portland
Creighton
Santa Clara

East Tennessee State
Minnesota
Utah State

Immediately eligible.

We did not make Makale Foreman's final three. Another epic fail by the coaching staff.

(Curious to have that first-time feeling of an emotional, irrational overreaction to recruiting news. Not recommended.)

He’s a really good player, potential is through the roof. He’d be a massive get

Nice all around stats other than the shooting % taking a dive - probably fixable in a sit year.

Looks like Gach is from Austin MN. Maybe he wants to be closer to home?

My first reaction upon seeing this was "shoot, we can't get any of the good guys."

Then I sat back and thought about it this way...we aspire to be a consistently Top 20 team that knocks down the door to the top 10 on a frequent basis (I know we want to be there every year, but baby steps ;)). Do we really need or want a guy that wasn't a top 3 guy on a team that went 19-12 and that we beat by 10?

It's an interesting time to be a Jays fan in that we need to start to shift our thought process of what a good transfer is for us. We see names pop up on this list all the time and our mind goes full on buffet, thinking...well that would be good to have. Before you know it our plate is full and we forgot to leave room for the Filet at the end of the table.

We all wrung our hands as we watched guys choose elsewhere, but at the end of the day our 2020 class haul was darn good given all the talent we have returning and the lack of playing time available for next year absent significant injuries.

Kalkebrenner
Rati
Modestas
O'Connell for next year

I'll still agonize every time somebody says no that we were interested in, but at the end of the day, I'm starting to trust that Mac will get enough guys that are good to keep us in the hunt.

Super excited for 20/21 and praying for live games.

Go Jays!

I think it highlights that Huss is really growing into his role.

As Rencher gets his feet planted and is able to develop relationships and close on guys - we have a pretty great one two recruiting punch.

Lusk may be a bit underrated on the trail too as he seems to be doing OK with some MW guys.

Love me some DRock, Lutz, etc from staffs of yore - but this current staff IMO is strongest of the Mac era - and one of our best in history.
