Dotzler stayed in town. jones stayed in town. Young stayed in town. Patton stayed in town. Thomas stayed in town. Mitchell stayed in town. Most committed either publicly or privately early on.

Playing in front of family and playing for Creighton was the desired destination, “dream school” as Tucker DeVries has stated. That doesn’t seem to be the case for Sallis. It certainly wasn’t the case for the skinny kid who signed with Stanford. Getting away is the desire of some kids.

Hope I’m wrong.

Comparing any of our past Omaha players who stayed home to Sallis is idiotic.

You see the difference, right?

Because he’s a five star? So was Patton eventually. Dotzler was very highly rated but shut it down after his sophomore season. Was a Top 10 in the country point guard in his class per Scout, #8 as I recall. Then he committed to Creighton and his ratings dropped. Still happens today when kids commit to Creighton.

Most of these things happened when you were in diapers so you discount them. Kids grow up in Omaha and many if not most dream of playing for Creighton. If CU was his dream school he would be in the same boat.

So JSTFU with your know-it-all schtick because you don’t.

Going to Creighton is now a MUCH more prestigious thing than previous seasons with their Big East throne, ranking, and expert prognostications for next year! We are surely on the presipus of the next Gonzaga impo. If all that appeals to Sallis and his parents, he just may stay.

I wouldn’t be as worried about UNC concerning Sallis unless he‘a willing to come off the bench as a freshman. Obviously things change but right now Caleb Love is the only player ESPN expects to be a one-and-done in their loaded recruiting class with 6 top 100 players and I don’t think any of their returning talent Bacot/Black/Harris will likely jump either. Add to that that they already have 1 top 60 commit times not sure there will be ample playing time or scholarships to go around.

Mike Miller's son, Mason, said we are in his top 3 with Indiana and Ohio St. 4 star with good height. Would assume he has a good shot with his dad being a good shooter.

Wow this is great news. Most thought he was a heavy Florida lean where his dad played

Isn’t his dad an assistant at Memphis? Though CU interest each way has been there for some time I thought he was a shoo in for Penny and crew.
