I see a guy that moves pretty well left or right, handles the ball, and likes going to the hole. He is 6’8”, and it’s a bit early to say he can’t shoot it.

Hi is a 6 9 Body that looks like at some point he can contribute. It would be nice to have a guy in the program that can be developed and will stick around for 4 or 5 years which doesn't seem to be the case anymore in the modern era of college hoops like a Groselle, Hegner, or Artino - someone that is serviceable that can contribute within his role, maybe this will be the guy.

I've been a bit curious about how highly he's ranked by 247. 155 is a pretty solid ranking for someone who has limited film and not a lot of exposure. On the other hand, he's been at a lot of camps over the past couple of years and played internationally, so it may be that they saw him elsewhere and/or have access to people who saw him at those camps.

His length and athleticism remind me a bit of Lok Wur who didn't end up ranked highly, but blew up with offers due to the timing of when he got eligible. Wur Redshirted last year, and I'd expect the same for Modestas unless we had some big injury problems on the front line. He looks as if he can run the floor and defend against a few different positions - he's also been said to play different positions and even PG in some camps.

If we have Kalkbrenner, Rati, O'Connell as a transfer, then adding Modestas as a 4th player who can RS is a really good thing. Very hard to predict things based on the limited film and data, but as a 4th member of a class looking to RS, I'll take the length and athleticism and upside

Could be wrong but I dont remember him being ranked when he committed to GCU. He might have received a Creighton "bump".
