Stretch 4/5 that can handle. His shot is slow but he still shot 45% from 3 (only attempted 1.8 per) but a year off on this team could fix that. He rebounds very well and is good defensively. Ceiling is what I’m looking at and it’s high high high.

- Well, OK, I'll give a 'maybe' after a 'sit one', shitte, make that a 'BIG MAYBE'!
- Shot is ugly, pretty much a set shot and he gets hardly any vertical at all on inside or outside shots. Big problem for BE
- Don't see real obvious physical strength that he'd need in BE.......he is wiry, and that's a good thing as for physical strength.....they usually sneaky strong physically
- I found myself comparing him lot in my head with Tolliver during his MVC days, and Bishop now. Didn't feel he was close to either. **If you can guarantee to me that he'd improve during the 'sit one' like AT during his career and entering theNBA, then that 'BIG MAYBE' becomes a 'maybe'
- Heck, on dunks, I would like to see more explosion. I'd grade 'OK explosion' for MVC. Shitte I've seen MANY others with more explosion in the MVC over the years
- Absolute NO 'quick twitch' athleticism.......OK, maybe I'll go 'minimal' instead of 'absolute NO'.
- Wingspan I'll state is good.
- Handle? don't see it.......very little left hand, if any in that brief amount of film, I believe there's a reason for that. One clip shows him drive on 2-3 dribbles with left hand from top of key, down the paint from FT line, and he forces up shot with right hand, one that had no business going in. There were a couple others similar, that there is no way he gets away with in BE
- I call it 'Comfortable On Court' (COC) ability (strong basketball skills). Could call it basketball savy. MBallock grades pretty high. Marcus Z real also high. This kid? I see VERY little, if any. Both Tolliver, and Bishop way more COC
- Defense might be his biggest attribute right now.......and even that, I'd say is questionable. Not sure he can guard in BE
- Ceiling = high high high????? Sorry, do not see that at all.
- Intensity and plays hard seems to be evident

Three last things;
- His line in Kentucky game- 25 mins, 4-9 FG, 0-4 3-pt, 1-1 FT, 4-Red (1-O & 3-D), 3 Ast, 1 TO, 2 Stl, 3 PF (Going to look and see if any film of that game.......I'd really like to see any additional film).........call me curious
- The back issue. I'd suspect there's something on that......haven't had time to see if any info on his rehab or even if there was a surgical procedure
- Between he and Drew Peterson.......not sure which of the two I'd go with.......I suppose I'd give Peterson a slight advantage, primarily due COC and a better feel playing 3/4, as opposed to 4/5

Look I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, or that anyone else is right or wrong.

Look at it this way;
Kalkbrenner 3-4 seasons
Epperson 2 seasons (does he get a 3rd, medical?)
Bishop 2 season
AJones 2-3 season

**Why not go hard on 2021 Class for at least 2 - 4/5s (HS and/or transfer)?

This whole need 6'8, 6'9 transfer now........it has to absolutely be the right guy! I don't see either Williams or Peterson as absolutely the right guy................now Batcho would be cool, but so darn quiet on that front who knows.

I guess we'll see.

Wow. Were you a Biology Major? I read your post and you really dissected Mr. Wms.

The problem with getting 2 bigs in 2021 is that most of the good ones we were after are already gone (Mors, Kendall Brown, JR Konieczny, Sanogo, & Moussa Diabate (C). According to the WBR's Scholie Matrix listing, we only have 3 remaining offers on bigs. Forwards Jeremy Sochan, Mason Miller, and KJ Adams.

There are a few with CU interest - most are guys we have never heard of.
Jon Kuminga (F), Jaylon Moses (F), Duncan Powell (F), Chase Courbat (C), & other forwards Samson Johnson, Blessing Agbonlaho, Oumar Koureissi, & Angelo Winkel.

With our top choices gone and only a few remaining offers out, we'd best pick up the best available forwards...wherever we can.

I don’t think anyone mentioned that Williams averaged 2.7 assists and Evansville was 9-9 before he got hurt (back injury) and missed the rest of the season.

Also, the guy weighs 190 lbs. Hopefully, he is putting on weight like I am during the CV 19 stay at home period.

Also 1 block and 1 steal per. He plays outside so it’s not like he needs to add a bunch of weight. Also he plays hard and crashes for offensive rebounds as he almost averages 2 of those per game. Sounds like he wants to play right away next year and he also declared for the draft so maybe he’s not a great transfer candidate for CU

Interesting seeing these mid-major forwards coming out. A majority have that skinny mid-major bod. :lol: That’s what CU players looked like for decades. A Gregory Echinique was a total outlier.

Now the Jays players actually have muscles.

We’ve reached out to Monmouth grad transfer Ray Salnave. 6’3 205. Averaged 14.5 and 1.5 steals. 36% from 3.
